Hemingway
The Hemingway sideboard is an exercise in balance and proportion, where simplicity is elevated through thoughtful detailing. Its elongated form sits confidently within a space, defined by a rhythmic arrangement of finely spaced lines that lend both texture and cadence to the façade. The timber softens the geometry, allowing the natural character of the material to come forward with warmth and subtle variation.
A recessed plinth gives the piece a sense of lightness, as though it hovers just above the floor, while the uninterrupted top surface provides a calm plane for objects to rest. The absence of visible hardware reinforces the purity of the form, inviting interaction through touch rather than instruction.
There is a considered harmony between precision and tactility here — a piece that feels architectural in its presence, yet deeply connected to the material from which it is made.
