Katakana
The Katakana Desk is a study in precision joinery and architectural form. Crafted from solid timber with a leather writing surface, its silhouette draws from the sharp geometry and rhythm of katakana characters — expressed through tapered legs, sculpted transitions and a layered upper gallery that keeps the workspace organised without interrupting the line of the piece.
Two large drawers sit beneath a generous work surface, while integrated A4 compartments above provide space for books, paper and everyday objects. Every edge is considered, every junction resolved with restraint and intent.
Designed as a functional centrepiece rather than a temporary workstation, Katakana balances utility with a strong visual identity — equally suited to focused work, display and living spaces.
