Founded in 2009 by Sean Dare, Dare is a design-led, family-run furniture studio with a focus on
creating beautifully crafted, enduring pieces.
Sustainability
Dare prioritise sustainability and the impact to the environment from the outset of every project.
We believe in manufacturing responsibly and have proudly been awarded the FSC COC certification
(NC-COC-026801-AA) ensuring our certified timbers are traceable to source.
All of our products have been designed for dis-assembly allowing parts to be replaced and easily recycled.
We select materials and finishes which are No Voc / Low Voc and our upholstery fillings are fully natural*
Our products are manufactured in both the UK and Europe, in dedicated workshops powered by green energy sources.
We are committed to minimising our carbon emissions and consistently review our processes to reduce our impact to the planet.
Quality
Dare uphold the highest standards in quality, consistently using the best manufacturing methods and materials without compromise. We are committed to investing in the best practices ensuring our products continually meet our high standards through a strict quality control system.
All of our products are developed to meet the requirements of BS EN 15373:2007 / test level 2 / strength, durability and safety requirements for non-domestic seating / tables.
Tailored Design
Our growing collection of design-led products are created to satisfy the requirements of interior projects around the globe. We offer a number of different options in materials, finishes and dimensions however we understand each project has its own specific aesthetic demands; We can offer a tailored design service to accommodate bespoke projects or we can offer full flexibility to our existing product line.
In addition to our core manufacturing we operate an independent bespoke workshop in Sussex where we can produce exclusive pieces manufactured to our meticulous standards, such as interior joinery, reception desks, banquette seating, boardroom tables & canteen tables.
We can accommodate pieces designed by Architects and Interior designers and can work from existing technical drawings or work with you to develop your concept into a finished product.

We are very honoured to have had our products specified for prestigious projects worldwide, including the headquarters of the BBC, ITV, Apple, Google, Microsoft, Facebook & Amazon.
We have worked with Architects and Interior designers furnishing apartments, communal spaces, co-working spaces, restaurants, hotels, aparthotels and build to rent projects, including TOG, Hilton Doubletree, Native bankside, London Edition, Hoxton, Magdalene Chapter, Lakes by YOO, Ebb & Flo, The Clove Club, Fairmont St Andrews, Havas and the Langham Chicago.
Based in a converted Victorian Coachworks on the West Sussex coast, we supply leading Architects, Designers and Retailers thought the UK and Internationally.
